Living The Toon Life - Member Profile - Kurt Johnson & Kimberly Anderson, live in beautiful Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
Their journey to find the right boat took almost 5 years in the making, with Kimberly researching every Pontoon Boat manufacturer she could possibly find.
Speed vs Comfort ?
Initially Kurt had his heart set on going fast, while Kim on the other hand had her eye on comfort and power. Suggesting the Pontoon Boat also came with some hesitation, and eventually Kurt came around, with only one request: A 300hp Mercury or Bigger?
Kim said she wanted it to be white, as she pointed to a 350hp on a boat they were looking at while attending the Denver boat show. In the beginning Kim had found a brand that she had her heart set on getting, however, the dealer experience for that brand was totally disappointing.
It wasn't until they walked into Got Water Marine, Lake Havasu, AZ. (Unknowing, they were about to meet their new extended Family) They were greeted by Julie who gladly listened to the many inundating questions form Kimberly & Kurt. She introduced them to Vaughn Hoskins (Owner) who gladly stopped to show them the 2018 Avalon Catalina Platinum (windshield edition)
It was 100 degrees outside, Vaughn took his time going from bow to stern, making sure we fully understood each of the accessories, and the operating procedures. We found our boat! said Kimberly, and the following day Vaughn, and his team had us on the water for the test drive. It was windy, choppy, and Kimberly was not so sure how it was gonna go. However, they both took turns at the helm, as the Catalina Platinum had a smooth, fast ride (just like they wanted) SOLD! & two hours later they were back on the water enjoying their new lifestyle.

Your favorite place to launch ? Lake Havasu Marina, they are a full service marina with as well as the secret Avalon Launch ramp I can not tell you where this is or Julie will not send me my pull over for Christmas (we get it Kim) Many dealers like Got Water Marine, have a private access boat ramp specifically for their customers to use. That's a huge perk!
Some of your favorite locations on the water ?
We enjoy going to Breakfast at Makai Cafe when were in the channel, its an easy decision and amazing breakfast food and Shugrue's or Barley Brothers to end the day. I mean really, who wouldn't want to end the day with phenomenal food and those watermelon margs... Yummy!!
When were not on the lake we enjoy Jerseys breakfast buffet Hanger 24 and of course Bj's . As we said the night we took the boat out, Cheers to 2018 and the beginning of many adventures together! #LivingTheToonLife
